The job: We are seeking a compassionate, community-oriented Residential Services Coordinator to join our Homeownership Promotion and Preservation department. The Residential Services position acts as a bridge between CHWC customers and healthcare/social services, providing crucial support and resources to individuals and families. This role is ideal for someone who is deeply connected to the community, is a strong communicator, and is committed to promoting equity and improving well-being for all. This role's objective is to build trust within the community, assess needs, provide education, and referrals with necessary services. The residential services coordinator works closely with all CHWC lines of business to connect customers to non-housing resources. This position is considered full-time benefits eligible, non-exempt, and reports to the Homeownership Manager.
Hours: 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend events may be required.
Compensation: Base Salary: $19-21 per hour DOQ.

Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience in social services or relevant experience. (public health, health education social services)
- Willingness to learn and attend Community Health Worker training (if not already certified)
- Deep connection or lived experience in the KCK community.
- Experience supporting others whether professionally or informally (peer mentor, caregiver, community volunteer, advocate.)
- Clear working knowledge of the Social Determinants of Health model.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English & Spanish. Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish required. Knowledge of Burmese or Nepalese is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Power Point and Excel.
- Strong technology skills & aptitude.
- High attention to detail, ensuring accurate and thorough documentation and assessments.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of customers.
- Ability to attend occasional after-hours meetings and events.
- Comfortable working in diverse environments and with people from various backgrounds.
The Work:
A. Services: Primary point of contact for all community non-housing support resources for CHWC residents and customers.
- Conduct outreach and home visits to current CHWC customers. Assist with completing application forms for non-housing resources (medical care, food assistance, and more)
- Participate in home visits with Home Repair Manager, assess homeowners' social services needs and connect/refer them to other community organizations.
- Collaborate with other CHWC department to support individuals and communities to access non-housing resources (medical care, food assistance, and more)
- Participate in tenant meetings with Property Manager and prepare outreach materials for CHWC tenants according to their needs.
- Facilitate group discussions, health workshops and culturally relevant education services for CHWC customers & neighbors. Identify available community resources. Track program changes that effect eligibility
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and community events.
- Determine client needs and assist clients with applying for eligible services
- Conduct follow-up phone calls and in-person visits. Identify and support successful client outcomes.
- Collect data to support program evaluation and community needs assessment for each CHWC line of business.
B. CLT Stewardship: Primary point of contact for all Community Land Trust (CLT) stakeholders. Manages the long-term sustainability of affordable housing and community assets, ensuring homes remain affordable and well-maintained for current and future residents.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and partners interested in CLT services
- Support current homeowners and tenants by connecting them with needed resources, education, assistance with home repairs, or refinancing.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of CLT properties.
- Provide empathetic support and a high level of customer service to CLT participants, ensuring that their experience is positive and that their concerns are addressed promptly. Make referrals (external or internal) as necessary
- Monitor and enforce compliance with lease agreements, ground leases, and other relevant documentation.
- Coordinate and execute events for CLT participants to promote sustainable housing living conditions
- Execute, review, and distribute monthly reports.
- Develops policies and procedures related to CLT processes.
- Executes community meetings and events to educate participants and partners about CLT services.
- Ensure CRMs are up to date with CLT participants' information, property details, and financial transactions.

- Ability to communicate effectively (verbally, in writing, by telephone/ video-conference) with internal/external customers, provide subordinate training, customer support and perform customary administrative duties.
- Periodically requires lifting/carrying/manipulating cases of records, marketing signage, laptop/presentation equipment, and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to withstand occasional exposure to noise, exposure to dust, and working with commonly present environmental chemicals, fumes or fragrances.
- Work is primarily conducted in a typical office environment with temperature control and natural and artificial light, with approximately 40% of duties that may be outdoors requiring exposure to seasonal weather and associated temperature fluctuations.
